Background/Question/Methods

2008 Sichuan earthquake was one of major natural disasters in China, with significant social, economic and ecological impact to local and regional sustainability.

Results/Conclusions

Here I reported my personal experience working with both Chinese and American scientists in ecological assessment of this earthquake and use of ecological principles and methods in formulating the earthquake area’s reconstruction and ecological restoration policies and management schemes.
