This proposal is for a special evening performance venue for ESA musicians and performers. The format will be a ~15 minute slot for each performer. I will serve as the MC and introduce each act. The theme is entirely "open", but past performers have included everything from Bach cello suites to acoustic singer songwriters to recitations of Chinese poetry and Australian folk stories. These sessions have been very successful at past meetings (Memphis, San Jose, and Pittsburgh) and are well attended (30-70 in the audience, with about 20 performers). I have worked with Michelle Horton to set up a web-site for registration, and Lou Gross will be working as the sound man. We prefer a theater and will need a dedicated PA system for this event.
