Microbes are constantly intersecting and interacting with every aspect of our lives. From beer and wine that we drink, to digestion and disease, to carbon and nitrogen cycles, and everything beyond and in between, these tiny and diverse organisms are there. The microbial ecology section of ESA promotes the science of microbial ecology, supports students with travel awards, and is beginning to engage with community outreach as well. When considering section participation, we dare you to convince us that microbes play no role in your research!
