Group Name: Public-interest environmental protection has a tremendous need for solid science, but many ecologists don't know how to find out where we can put our scientific skills to use in the public interest. Come join in a roundtable discussion with public-interest attorneys from organizations such as the Center for Biological Diversity, Earthjustice, and the Natural Resources Defense Council on how you can get involved. We will work on developing models for effective projects and design a clearinghouse for connecting ecologists to legal efforts.
