SS 8 - The American Southwest: Opportunities for Research and Education

Monday, August 3, 2009: 8:00 PM-10:00 PM
Blrm C, Albuquerque Convention Center
Organizer:
Debra Peters, USDA Agricultural Research Service
This special session will introduce ESA members to one of the newest chapters in the Society, the Southwest Chapter, that was approved in 2007. We will use a combination of a continuously running PowerPoint presentation with posters showing research and education opportunities throughout the region. We also plan to add slides from local field trips prior to the meeting to our presentation to show the beauty and diversity of the area. Chapter members will be on-hand throughout the time period to answer questions and promote future activities and involvement by others. Because the meeting is being held in Albuquerque, this session is timely and relevant. Members are encouraged to stop by anytime during the session.
