This workshop will explain how you can publish the digital resources that you have developed to teach ecology. We'll introduce you to EcoEd DL, ESA’s digital teaching library, and highlight examples of the types of resources we are accepting for publication – including images, classroom activities, and datasets. We’ll walk you through the submission and review process using a previously published resource as an example. We’ll then discuss review guidelines to better equip you to prepare excellent resources. We’ll also explore a new system to allow students to access and visualize datasets. Finally, we will highlight ways for researchers and educators to become involved in virtual learning communities and Scout Teams supported by ESA’s new NSF award to enhance EcoEd DL. EcoEd DL is a peer-reviewed venue where ecology educators can share the unique resources they have developed for teaching with the larger ecology education community. The library provides free access to high-quality teaching resources that have been peer-reviewed for scientific accuracy and instructional value and now offers the opportunity for user-based ratings. Light lunch is included.
