ESA Diversity Luncheon: Generation Z: Past, Present, and Future for ESA's Diversity and Education

Past, Present, and Future for ESA's Diversity and Education Vice President of Education and Human Resources Lowman will launch the lunch with a short summary of the last 6 years of Education and Diversity programs. She will briefly highlight the many outstanding activities that were initiated to provide inclusivity of diverse stakeholders in the ESA family. Voices of the Next Generation Then join us for a conversation with the Next Generation of ecologists about their career hopes and needs. Recognizing that the trends in membership numbers and age profiles of the ESA are changing, the Governing Board convened a special committee in 2011 to discuss how ESA can serve the needs of the next generation of ecologists. The presentation at the Diversity Luncheon will share top recommendations submitted to the Governing Board. Members of the Committee are: Krista Capp, Erica Fernandez, Peter Jorgesen, Kellen Marshall Gillespie, Jorge Ramos, Colibri San Fiorenzo, Naupaka Zimmerman, Samir Doshi, Teresa Mourad (ESA Liaison), and Sonia Ortega (Chair).
