Realizing resilient food systems at the global scale

The world needs much more food. Fast. But our current agricultural practices are causing major disruptions to the world's ecosystems, watersheds, and even the atmosphere.  So, how can we feed the growing world and stil sustain the planet?  And how do we make this system more resilient, so that our global food system is able to withstand shocks from climate change, diseases and economic disruptions?  Here I will present some ideas on how a more resilient and more sustainable food system can be built, starting from the global scale.
