You are a scientist. While faculty-tenure may depend on peer-reviewed publications,  policy-makers seldom pick up Nature or Science. So, if “they” are not reading “our” journals, how does science get into policy? Do “they” even understand science? How can they possibly pass policy without getting science?  The answer is there are scientists embedded in every step of the process, scientists who once did research at the bench or in the field, scientists who now bring science to policy makers in their language.  Let’s explore ideas on how to get your science to these scientists to impact policy.
