This talk will provide a brief introduction to the session and to hyperspectral remote sensing (imaging spectroscopy). I will give an overview of how hyperspectral remote sensing works generally, provide a few examples of how it has been used in terrestrial ecology, and provide links to resources and programs that audience members may find useful.
