Where is NEON now?

Three years into its five year construction phase, The National Ecological Observatory Network (NEON; funded by the National Science Foundation) will begin operations at 60 terrestrial and 46 aquatic sites in 2017 – and in fact is already streaming some data on its data portal from the first sites to enter operations.  Here, we provide an update on the status of NEON and discuss how NEON’s diverse science community can ‘plug into’ NEON.
