Many decision-makers recognize the benefits that nature provides to humans, and are grappling with how to translate this knowledge into better strategies and policies to improve outcomes for humans and the environment. Development banks are searching for methods to meet environmental safeguards for development projects, corporations are trying to rise to the challenge of the Natural Capital Declaration and find safe sourcing regions for supply chains, and governments want to incorporate ecosystem services into permitting and mitigation decisions. We demonstrate how simple tools can meet this demand and help these influential actors understand their impacts and dependencies on ecosystem services.
