Background/Question/Methods

The faith community, including religious institutions and individual people of faith, have engaged on ecological issues for many decades. This session will explore the current religious landscape regarding environmental isssues and highlight case studies to illustrate main traits of religious community involvement in ecological issues. Both state and national level activities will be presented in detail. 

Results/Conclusions

In addition, the session will present a framework and successful tools for working with religious bodies and institutions on ecological issues. Participants in the session will consider key methods and opportunities for working with the faith community to overcome perceived and actual challenges.
