Beef producers work to improve efficiencies and land management every day. Recognized as true stewards of the land and criticized as the most environmentally impactful – beef producers struggle. Despite millions spent in research knowledge gaps between science, public and industry remain. Why is there such a discrepancy? What do beef producers need to help answer questions like: Which animals can be matched to resources? What resource characteristics drive production? What management decisions improve resilience to extreme weather events? More importantly, how can science partner with industry to make improvements and help the public understand how their food is produced?
