The Mission of Environmental Education and Research Center (EERC) at Kentucky State University is to protect and enhance a little over 300 acres of Kentucky's wild lands. The EERC is CAFSSS field station and learning facility for students, faculty, and staff to understand the basic principles that govern ecological and environmental processes. The Center accommodate individuals with different learning abilities.  The Center also have a Mobile Environmental Education and Research trailer on-site which brings similar educational opportunities found at the Center to schools throughout the Commonwealth. The Center educated/exposed about 2500 visitors using the EERC or EERC Mobile Classroom facilities in 2014.
