What do decision-makers need to know in order to better understand and respond to our changing climate? NASA is funding research to develop and test climate indicators: data and information that targets and supports user communities rather than simply providing additional climate trends. Using NASA data, projects explored areas ranging from early drought warnings in Texas to the seasonality of Arctic sea ice to urban heat wave vulnerability. This talk will highlight several key accomplishments from the program and discuss NASA's continued research efforts in support of sustained and future assessments.
