The Impostor Syndrome is widespread throughout academia (and beyond) and often manifests itself in feelings of intellectual inadequacy and of inferiority when compared to ones peers. However, the Impostor Syndrome interacts with structural racism and sexism creating an intersectional geography which we will explore in this talk. Ultimately my goal is to help participants understand how under-represented groups can leverage support to combat the Impostor Syndrome and how people can be stronger allies in fostering diverse and just academic environments.
