If we want more evidenced-based decision-making, how can we better move science into action? Much of the focus has been on translating scientific information and sharing it outside the academy. But we can do better. Stakeholder engagement 2.0 focuses on developing long-term networks to increase access and generate ecological insights necessary to improve decision-making. By building relationships in the places we work, we can create connections between scientists and communities that improve environmental management outcomes and generate new use-inspired research questions.
