I'd like to introduce you to a rockstar from the mid-1900s. In the time of Mary Talbot, women scientists were confined to working on the margins. Dr. Talbot rose above her station by doing science ahead of its time. She worked without support of the broader academic community, in a teaching-intensive women's college. The value of her work is self-evident. Now, it's our job to raise her up to a position commensurate with her achievement.
