Adaptive management encourages stakeholders to collaboratively modify plans for the future based on understanding the effectiveness of past management actions. What if last year was a drought and this year there’s a flood? Extreme abiotic variation can overwhelm effects of management. Replication of identical practices across multiple years and analysis of long-term data may help provide solutions.
