This participant-driven workshop will bring together people who are using course-based research in their classes and who would like to use course-based research in their class to share ideas of how to make course-based research a successful aspect of their classes.  Graduate students considering academic careers are encouraged to attend.  After becoming familiar with course-based research with examples, participants will form small groups to discuss how to incorporate course-based research projects into their classes.

Example projects are:

  • Intermediate disturbance hypothesis
  • Anthropogenic effects on biodiversity
  • Addressing questions using “big data” (citizen science or NEON data sets)

Registration Fee: $0
