Our mission is to promote the value, improve the practice, grow the community, and increase the application of NATURAL HISTORY in ecology. Observing, documenting and communicating knowledge about how and where organisms live and the abiotic and biotic interactions that link organisms to communities and ecosystems is the basal node of ecology and fundamental for placing our findings in context. Join us in building a voice for Natural History in ecology. Over the next three years we will be launching our Natural History Section Partnership Initiative – linking the section to local, regional and national Natural History organizations.
