WK 30 - An Evening of Music: Live Performance by ESA Musicians
This session will continue with the ESA tradition of having a music night (8-10 pm). The first hour will be for performers who sign up through the ESA website. The second half will be an "open mike" and we will take sign ups on the break. As in the past, I will host the event, introduce the performers (and say a bit about the science) and hopefully record and photograph the event so I can post the music on a website. I hope we can also secure a "Musician's Central", a dedicated room at the conference where musicians can meet and play each afternoon after the talks. I have worked with Michelle Horton in the past to successfully organize the sound (we need a sound system and 3 or 4 microphones, and probably a dedicated sound person to control the mix).
