Citizens are hungry for data. They want to know about your findings and your questions about their world. It is important to find a physical and intellectual framework for translation and dissemination of that information. The Fairmount Water Works Interpretive Center (FWWIC), operated by the Philadelphia Water Department, is focused on educating citizens by sharing information and encouraging understanding and action about water related topics. The FWWIC looks to partner with universities, institutions and non-profits to help achieve their mission. Public programming produced by staff educators allows local research to reach a broader interested audience in an impactful way.
