A rancher, an agency manager, and a professor walk into a bar... No wait, it was an economist, an ecologist, and a sociologist. Or was it a policy analyst, a land trust executive, and a geographer? At a Sustainable Rangelands Roundtable (SRR) meeting, any combination of such individuals is a possibility. Focused on areas of agreement rather than differences, since 2001, SRR has convened to identify rangeland monitoring and assessment components and to provide a forum for dialogue on rangeland sustainability issues. Thirteen years later, diverse participants are still collaborating to attain these goals and advance progress toward sustainable rangelands.
