Climate change threatens our health, right now, in our backyards. Ecosystems and lives are both disrupted by climate change. Infectious diseases and other health threats fueled by climate change reflect the changing face of nature where we live and work – cities, communities, rural landscapes. Where I live - New York - heat isn’t an inconvenience, it can kill. Floods force people out of homes and businesses. People everywhere have one distinct role to play: only we can build political will, and act to limit climate change and create healthier, more secure communities – for all species.
