The Croton Reservoir Water Treatment Plant Golf Driving Range, located in The Bronx, NY, exemplifies a new trajectory in the planning of urban landscapes. Traditionally infrastructure projects have been conceived as single function programs.  Today, however, a new breed of infrastructure projects is programmed with multiple functions responding to diverse community needs and ecological conditions.  The Croton Reservoir project responds to concerns that the original grades be maintained, that the previous site use as a youth driving range be incorporated into the design of the project and that sensitive ecological resources and storm water runoff be central to sustainability design.
