Water may move down hill, but trees and dirt and everything in a system can change where that water goes. That is when things get exciting. Where you are on the land then, really matters. Why? Because wet land and dry land do different things. Places that are wet and flat are different than places that are wet and not flat. Dry places that are flat are different than dry places that are not flat. Sometimes a place can be wet, dry, or in-between at different times in a year. What happens then is really interesting.
