Landing one academic position in ecology is hard. Landing two positions in the same geographic area and scientific discipline is really hard. Landing two positions that make each partner happy is really, really hard. Do we dual-career ecologists have a pipe dream or can we overcome the two body problem? This ignite talk will share examples of how dual-career ecologists have succeeded. While everybody does it differently, patience, perseverance, and time have all played important roles in helping these couples reach professional and personal satisfaction.
